Private Drainage UK is free for consumers to use. There's no charge to read our guides, use the compliance checker, or submit an enquiry.

When we introduce a customer to an independent specialist and that specialist goes on to carry out work, the specialist may pay us a referral fee or commission. This is how the business is funded.

What this means in practice

• You are never charged by Private Drainage UK for using the site or submitting an enquiry
• Any referral fee is paid by the specialist, not added on top of your quote
• You contract directly with the specialist for any work — Private Drainage UK is not a party to that agreement
• Specialists are matched based on suitability for your enquiry (location, service, scale), not on who pays the highest fee
